Another week goes by...

And so another very full week has blown by... Right now it's Sunday night after 9 pm and Jackie and Micah are working on his declamation. Micah is practicing his memorized speech about Chief Joseph, working on speaking it in less than 5 minutes. And trying to help him memorize it and speak it and get it done. He's having a small breakdown, wanting to shut down for the night, but....

that all makes sense since he has had a 3 day weekend, skiing all day Friday, two soccer games on Saturday day, and then 2 buddies slept over Saturday night, and then they all skied together today, and then we took a family hot tub, and then had dinner and chilled for a little while and now that it's getting close to everyone's bedtime, Micah still has school work to do, plus some bar mitzvah prep....

Howie is a trip, wanting to ski with his brother Micah and his friends today, but couldn't stop crying, so they went off without him and he skied with Jackie and I, but then went off with Jackie and they skied the tram, both of them coming down second gully to Kranz. It was one of those infamous last day of skiing where you skied the hardest stuff on the mountain and went out with a bang. It reminded me of a couple of years ago when I skied with Micah on the last day and we did second gully together. I had to take it easy today as my bum knee has somewhat effected my confidence and my ability. But Howie ended up having a great ski day, ended his day skiing with Micah and his friends and doing some jumps with Micah at the end of the day.

So that was today... Thursday I took off from work so I could spend a day with Jackie - pre birthday - We were going to ski together, but there were 2 unexpected events, Jackie needed to take Howie to town first thing in the morning to see his orthodontist, as something broke the day before. By the time she got back it was almost 11 am and it was ridiculously windy out, with most lifts shut down, so we ended up hanging around the house and then eventually taking a hike up porcupine. Then when we got back from our hike it was a rush to go to the basketball banquet at the Corral Bar, super crowded and crazy... We came home from the banquet and celebrated Jackie's birthday with presents and a cake... Andrew spent most of the evening in Bozeman so when we sang happy birthday for Jackie I called Andrew on his cell phone and had him sing with us...

Friday, Micah played hooky and went skiing. It was Jackie's Birthday, and we had a very full day planned for her...

1. yoga with Anna and lots of other women in which she achieved a very successful hand stand.

2. massage with Sarah

3. ski day with Kelly and Denise and a whole bunch of other women

4. 4:30 van to Bozeman with a whole bunch of other women, dinner at an Italian restaurant, Rocky Horror Picture Show with wigs and all, then Stacy's Bar for music and dancing, not back home until after her birthday was over...

In between things I saw her, I too got a massage from Sarah right after Jackie, and then I helped her with the transition from skiing to partying getting her to her party van on time....

She had quite a day.

Saturday I went to town with Micah for his 2 games. Micah played well, playing the entirety of both games which they ended up losing 5 -1 and 7 - 0, the first team with more practice I think they could beat, the second team was definitely much better than them... Jackie and Howie skied on the mountain as did Andrew and watched the infamous pond skim, where skiers try to coast through the man made pond on their skis...

And then today was the final day of skiing, we were all up there skiing, Micah with his friends and eventually Howie, Andrew with his friends, Jackie mostly with Howie, and I skied with Jackie and Howie and a few runs with my buddy Dan who quit early to watch the end of the masters...

And so another busy weekend comes to a close... time for me to load some pictures and go to bed, but before sleep will probably need to coach Micah some more who is currently on a t.v. break... but really needs to go to bed.
