I started this blog in 2009, when my wife, Jackie and my oldest son, Andrew went to Kenya for 5 weeks. I wrote about my life in Big Sky while they were away. I wrote about my trip to Israel with my middle son, Micah in 2010. I wrote intermittently as time passed and then I just stopped. Friends of mine often said, Mark is someone who has to write, but life, work, family, took over. Now I am compelled to write again. My life turned upside down in September 2016 when I was diagnosed with ALS.
I've been hesitant to write because what am I supposed to say, your smile and warmth and wit made some of my shitty days much brighter. I can say I actually enjoyed working for you a 6 am! The Moose is special! Still, I do know that life is funny and love is lasting when it's right. You have much love Mark!! You give and receive. Jackie is your champion and all who have crossed your path are better for it. Your boys have Big Sky and beyond because of you and Jackie. I send so much love, positive thoughts and corn your way from Ohio!! You are amazing... the people around you are amazing. I look forward to reading all about your adventures.
