Markymoose in Big Sky

I started this blog in 2009, when my wife, Jackie and my oldest son, Andrew went to Kenya for 5 weeks. I wrote about my life in Big Sky while they were away. I wrote about my trip to Israel with my middle son, Micah in 2010. I wrote intermittently as time passed and then I just stopped. Friends of mine often said, Mark is someone who has to write, but life, work, family, took over. Now I am compelled to write again. My life turned upside down in September 2016 when I was diagnosed with ALS.

Remembering the Bar Mitzvah Week... Friday, June 25, 2010

Friday night at the Half Moon was an awesome night. The weather held, more and more people arrived for the weekend and the Friday night service was very sweet with music and prayer and hand washing, good food, good drink, good friends, family, volleyball, horseshoes, a bonfire and as Margy put it so well, a tub of love... Tom, our photographer, took over 300 photos and I had a tough time picking out less... I think I kept it to about 100? I haven't counted... it was such a beautiful evening...
